Building a world-class institution with a culture of excellence

About AJS

Aspen Junior is a private day school with a focus on early years through primary education. We offer an innovative, child-centered, and holistic curriculum in a warm and nurturing learning environment; and encourage our pupils to pursue intellectual curiosity, creativity and foster their talents, establishing global citizens in service and leadership.

Education Philosophy & core curriculum

At Aspen Junior School, we believe learning is more than memorization (rote learning). Children are engaged in their learning by thinking through, processing, and applying concepts. This engagement begins with setting a strong foundation, modeling exploration in the children’s minds, and providing opportunities for them to be curious, creative, and independent. We employ active and associative learning methods to make our pupils' experience meaningful. Through this approach, children move past basic understanding to discussions and real-world application of what they learn and discover.
